Mentors are key sources of guidance and support in the lives of young men. Mentors are paired with youths based on various criteria including but not limited to youth and mentor interests, mentor strengths, youths’ goals, and location. Mentors must be a minimum of 21 years of age and be willing to submit to various background checks. For more information, contact Boyz to Men of Honor. ** Fundraisers—Assist with fundraising efforts ** Guest Speakers or Guest Presenters— – Individuals with success stories or skilled professionals that provide motivational speeches or conduct skill development sessions with youths ** Tutors – — College students and adult professionals who provide academic assistance ** Youth Leaders – — Young adult males who work one-on-one or with small groups of youths during recreational activities, field trips, and community service ventures ** Activity Leaders – — Adult males who assist with various youth programs and services Boyz to Men of Honor accepts volunteers as young as 19 years of age for some of our positions. For some positions, volunteers may be asked to submit to a background check. Time commitment and length of service varies for volunteer positions. College students and members of Greek letter organizations may be eligible for service credit for volunteer work done with Boyz to Men of Honor. During these events we look for volunteers to set up, serve, clean up, and assist with various activities. ** DONOR OPPORTUNITIES-- Boyz to Men of Honor is a non-profit organization that relies heavily on donations from private donors. Charitable donations of any size will enable Boyz to Men of Honor to continue providing its valuable services to young men and their families.
